I am an AASECT certified Sex Therapist and a licensed clinical social worker with a decade of experience in helping people to connect to each other in their emotional and sexual relationships. I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work and was trained in sexual dysfunction and sex therapy at the NYU Program for Human Sexuality. Although my practice is focused on sexual problems, I also have years of training and experience in treating many psychological issues including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, general marital counseling and pre-marital counseling. I have postgraduate training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Somatic Intervention, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
In addition to my private practice, I am an experienced presenter. I speak widely about improving intimacy and female function and dysfunction at professional conferences and community events. I have also co-created a workshop for religious leaders to help them gain more understanding about sexual issues so they can better help the individuals that speak with them.
I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative process where I can help my clients to reconnect to their best selves and others. My style is warm, non-judgmental, goal oriented, and interactive. I understand how challenging it is to come and discuss one’s intimate relationship so I strive to create a safe environment for my clients so that they can feel more comfortable in doing so.
